All living beings are artists, the substance that expresses life.  For me painting, making sculpture and photography, are just as natural as taking a bowl of rice. It is experiential. I am constantly amused by my experimental acts on canvas or any other medium. Bringing to bear the art history argot, the marks I have made for twenty years with a professional art career, fall  into the Minimalist, Abstract Expressionist movements.

Since the time has come and either passed or lingered, a number of theorists continue to tease out the new “ism” while I move simply with the time I am in. I immediately immersed myself, as always, in the local art community when I came to live on the island.  I previously lived for two years on the High Line in West Chelsea and further back, traveled and resided around the globe.  What brought me back to New York was my schooling during the 80s at Columbia University and the undeniable vanity, a City like no other, can carve out in the landscape of a mind.
